Careers
Employment of occupations in the healthcare sector is projected to grow 14% over the next ten years, which is much faster than the average growth for all other occupations. Healthcare occupations are expected to add more jobs than any of the other professional groups. This projected growth is mainly due to an aging population, leading to a greater demand for healthcare services.Healthcare careers appeal to people who want to help people—from direct patient care—to support personnel who help manage complex healthcare organizations and service providers.
The next decade projects the greatest employment growth in the healthcare field, as extended longevity, an aging population, and expanding insurance coverage increases the demand for health professionals.
